Open it

Press L on the Gateway or click Ledgers under Daily Books.

The screen

  • Left panel: the account group tree (Capital Account, Current Assets → Bank Accounts, Cash-in-Hand, Sundry Debtors, and so on). Click a group to show only its ledgers, or All Account Groups for everything.
  • Top cards: the Neural Engine panel shows Net Working Capital, the Cashflow Ratio of receivables to payables, an Exposure Radar naming your largest debtor, and the Liquidity Reserve available in cash and bank.
  • Table: Ledger Name, Trade Name, Under Group, GSTIN / UIN, Opening Bal and Closing Bal.
  • A to Z strip at the bottom to jump to a letter, with the total ledger count.

Find a ledger

Type in the search box, click a letter, or pick a group. Move with ↑ ↓ and press Enter to open the ledger's profile.

The ledger statement

Opening a ledger shows its full statement for the period: Date, Particulars, Vch Type, Vch No., Debit, Credit and running Balance, with opening and closing balances at the bottom.

  • Press F2 to change the period.
  • Click a row to show details, or double-click to edit the voucher.
  • Use PDF or Excel to export, and Dispatch to send the statement to the party.
  • Switch to another ledger from the drop-down at the top without going back.

Create a ledger from here

Click Create Ledger or press Alt+N on this screen (from anywhere else, Alt+L opens the same form).

A customer's statement from this screen is what you send when chasing payment. Export it as PDF and attach it to the reminder.
