Receivables ageing
Customer dues grouped by days since the invoice (or due date):
| 0–30 | 31–60 | 61–90 | 91–180 | 180+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current | Follow up | Escalate | Stop credit | Provide for doubtful debts / legal |
Payables ageing
Supplier dues grouped the same way. It helps plan cash and avoid penalties.
Important deadlines
- MSME suppliers: payment within the agreed period, and never more than 45 days (15 days if there is no written agreement). Delayed MSME payments carry compound interest at three times the RBI bank rate, and for income tax an amount unpaid beyond this limit can be disallowed as an expense until it is paid.
- GST: if you don't pay a supplier within 180 days of the invoice, reverse the ITC (Rule 37).
In Hisab Central
Enter receipts and payments against bills so ageing is accurate. The AI Audit flags when receivables older than 90 days cross your limit.
