Open the screen

Press F5 anywhere, press Y on the Gateway, or click Payment in the quick bar. The Voucher No. fills in from your payment voucher type. Press F2 to change the Date.

Steps

  1. Account (Credit): choose where the money goes out from, for example Cash A/c or your bank ledger. The account's current Balance shows under it.
  2. In the grid, under Particulars (Debit), search and pick who you paid (a supplier ledger) or what you paid for (an expense ledger such as Rent or Electricity).
  3. Enter the Reference No. (cheque number or UTR) and the Amount (₹).
  4. Paying several parties from the same account? Click Add Line for each one.
  5. Write a Narration, or click Auto-Write and let Atulya AI draft one from the entries.
  6. Check Total Payment and click Save Entry. Cancel clears the form.

Compliance check while you type

The Atulya Intelligence banner at the top watches each payment for Section 40A(3): a cash payment above ₹10,000 to one person in a day may be disallowed as a business expense. Pay larger amounts by bank transfer or cheque.

Where it shows up

The voucher appears in the Day Book, the Cash & Bank Book, the party or expense ledger and, if paid from a bank, in Bank Reco as an uncleared payment until you enter its bank date.

Paying an employee salary or a loan EMI every month? Set it up once as a recurring voucher.
